Who We Are

In the Midwestern United States, there was no program for children with heart disease until Camp Odayin was formed in 2001. We welcomed our first 53 campers in July of 2002. In an atmosphere designed to enhance self-esteem and acceptance of themselves and others, our Odayin campers have the opportunity to come alive emotionally and physically in ways they never dreamed possible by reaching beyond their medical diagnosis. Since our inception, the number of campers and families served has increased annually. Camp Odayin’s programs have expanded and camping sessions increased since that first summer in 2002, but the cost to campers’ families has remained the same. Participants pay a minimal $25 registration fee per person to attend any Camp Odayin camping program. Actual costs to Camp Odayin are $900 per child for Residential Camp, $500 per person for Winter Camp, $250 per person to attend Family Camp or the Moms Retreat.

What We Do

Camp Odayin provides positive life changing camp experiences and support opportunities for young people with heart disease and their families.
