While one person may not have the power to fix all the problems of the world, one person can still mean the world to someone who has just survived domestic or sexual assault. At TWC, our trained staff and volunteer On-Call Advocates (OCAs) give hope to survivors and remind them that they are not alone.
OCAs are trained volunteers who respond after hours to sexual assault and domestic violence emergencies at our partner hospitals throughout Waukesha County. If someone is the victim of domestic or sexual assault and goes to the hospital, they can request an Advocate to provide emotional support, reassurance, and crisis intervention during the medical and investigative processes. As an OCA, you can truly gift someone with your kindness, strength, and compassionate support during an incredibly vulnerable time.
If you think this might be a good fit, you can check out the full job description, logistical requirements, and register for our upcoming training HERE
