Bake Christmas cookies for seniors! Do you like to bake? Share your creative ability with older adults. The Bay View Community Center wants to provide a box of Homemade Christmas Cookies to older adults in our community.
Bake an extra dozen or two of cookies and deliver to the Bay View Community Center, 1320 E. Oklahoma on Friday, December 14, 2017 between 12 noon – 5 pm or Monday, December 17, 2017 between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Volunteers will package the cookies and deliver them to older adults.
This kindness helps them to celebrate the holiday and know that people care about them. Many of the seniors have no family living and this is the only Holiday gift they will get. The older adults love the cookies. One wrote a thank you note to us that said “ I could tell the cookies were made with real butter. I haven’t had a homemade cookie in years.”
