Host a Donation Drive: A donation drive is a great option for individuals as well as groups, and helps build positive momentum in our community. Your donation drive could be for nonperishable foods, personal hygiene items, warm clothes, outerwear, shoes, or other needed items. Donations may be delivered to our shelter, or we can make arrangements to pick up your collected items! Impact of Opportunity: Guest House does not have funds for food, hygiene, or clothing; we rely on the generosity of our community to help provide these basic necessities to our guests. During cold months, our greatest need is for men's winter coats in 2XL-4XL sizes. Boots and sneakers are always needed as well. Volunteers will assist during distribution in helping the clients locate correct sizes, counting coats for check out and assisting in carrying coats to their vehicles. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, be able to stand on concrete floors and carry up to 10lbs. The 2024 Coats Activity is scheduled for volunteers to join us on September 11-13 from 9-12 PM. Our Coats Distribution is scheduled for October 25 from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM,and October 26 from 8:30 AM-1:30 PM. All volunteer must have an approved Volunteer Profile and pre-registered for an activity prior to volunteering.
