Volunteer to Help Community Members Increase Savings. On Saturday, March 23 from 9:00am to 2:00pm, United Way's Johnson Control Volunteer Center will be hosting Super Saturday, an event that welcomes the community to receive free tax prep through VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program).
Volunteer coaches will meet one on one with guests to learn more about budgeting and strategies on how to save. If you are unable to stay for the 4.5 hour shift, please put in the notes section when you sign-up, the hours that best fit your schedule.
Budget Coaches must have 1+ years of experience in financial or banking industry.
The United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County is working with the Social Development Commission to continue it's service of VITA providing free tax services to members of the community who need it the most. The new United Way Volunteer Center sponsored by Johnson Controls, Inc., is also open on scheduled days during the week as a site for Free Tax Prep for the Wisconsin Homestead Credit.
