Do you have fond memories of your own grade school field day? Spending time with classmates enjoying the day outside and participating in your favorite sporting activities?
Join United Way for an afternoon of interactive activities focused on educating local students and teachers about the importance of healthy living – developing a strong body and strong mind! With the support of volunteers, students will participate in a variety of activity stations focused on healthy living concepts including: sports and recreation (both a team and individual sport), yoga/meditation/mindfulness exercises and healthy eating & snacking.
This Field Day will take place at Hopkins Lloyd Community School in Milwaukee. Students will rotate in small groups through key stations that build self-confidence and encourage working together with others as a team. Volunteers are needed to help lead the station activities and be a buddy to the students as they participate in the afternoon’s activities.
Casual sport attire is encouraged. An event t-shirt will be provided to all volunteers upon arrival at the site.
