Join the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Waukesha County for our largest fundraising and awareness building event, NAMIWalks Waukesha. NAMIWalks Waukesha brings together hundreds of individuals to raise awareness and change the conversation about mental health. All funds raised at this event support NAMI Waukesha’s support, education and advocacy programs for individuals and families affected by mental health challenges in our community
NAMIWalks Waukesha will be held on Saturday, September 16th at the Frame Park Picnic Shelter in Waukesha, WI. We are in need of volunteers to help in a variety of roles including:
- Assisting with event set-up (7:30 AM- 9:30 AM)
- Traffic Direction (9:15 AM-11:00 AM)
- Registration for Individual Walkers and Teams (9:00 AM-11:00 AM)
- Assisting with directing Walkers along NAMIWalks Waukesha route and distributing waters to Walkers (10:30 AM-12:30 PM)
- Serving lunch to walkers and attendees (10:00 AM- 1:00 PM)
- Assisting with event clean-up (1:00 PM-2:00 PM)
Volunteers can participate as individuals or in groups and are welcome to assist with one opportunity or multiple depending upon availability. Volunteers under the age of 18 require a signed release from their parent or guardian. Children under the age of 16 can participate in this opportunity if they are accompanied by their parent or guardian.
