Our Children's Program is designing a new sensory room, and we need your help! Corporate groups will love this event.
Children with vision loss and other sensory challenges benefit from controlled environments where specific senses can be stimulated in an intentional way. This can help to calm and soothe children and develop coping techniques for negative behaviors.
Outfitting this space with specialized equipment will allow our staff to best serve children with sensory issues.
The project includes:
- painting the room black
- putting together felt boards
- putting together and painting magnetic boards
- hanging/mounting lights and other sensory activities to the walls
- cleaning/organizing the room
