STEM Expo- COA & Kohl's Explore Your Future

COA and Kohl's Explore Your Future STEM Program  implements science, technology, engineering, and math at our two youth centers and eight afterschool sites. This program is unique because it boosts STEM participation in underrepresented groups by providing quality learning opportunities to all kids, regardless of race, gender or socioeconomic status. By engaging youth in fun and exciting STEM activities outside of the traditional classroom, COA hopes to spark an interest in STEM for all kids.

At the annual STEM Expo, over 125 youth from COA's multiple sites gather at the Goldin Center to experience hands-on, immersive activities and science experiments led by volunteers. At each learning station, youth ages 4-14 explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math concepts that equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed and thrive in today's specialized workforce.
