Mobile food pantries are pop-up food distributions hosted by Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in collaboration with a community partner. They can be hosted in a parking lot, at a school or church, in a community center, or many other places. Their purpose is generally to provide healthy and fresh food resources to unserved and underserved communities. Typically, somewhere between 50 to 250 shares of food are distributed to the community over the course of a 1-3 hour distribution.
Volunteers are needed to help direct traffic, set up tents and tables, unload and pack food items, keep the distribution area clean, load boxes in cars, and to help clean up after the food distribution.
This activity is outdoors, please dress weather accordingly.
