Legal Clerical Support

Summary: Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee is seeking an ongoing weekly volunteer to support our Eviction Free MKE team with ongoing clerical tasks.  Flexible scheduling available.

Essential Duties:

• Assist with conducting intake and inputting related case notes and scanning of documents into case management system, PIKA.
• Assist with drafting and mailing client correspondence, court orders, and copying documents as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.  

Requirements:

• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
• Requires adherence to confidentially practices, policies and procedures at all times
• Proficient using a computer, laptop and relevant computer software programs and databases.
• Ability to use basic office equipment such as fax, scanner and copy machine.
• Previous experience in a legal setting preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of background check required.
