Volunteers are needed to staff a phone bank to assist viewers during the upcoming Hope, Help and Healing Virtual Gala on June 17, 2021.
Volunteers will be assigned a dedicated phone line at the JFS offices and will be responsible for assisting callers with troubleshooting online donations, how to participate in the silent auction and wine pull, and, for those who need more personal assistance, gather information to be provided to a JFS staff member. Training will be provided that evening and a JFS staff member will be on site at all times.
The ideal volunteer is friendly, patient, and minimally tech-savvy. Previous phone bank experience is not mandatory as a training session will be provided that evening.
In order to provide a safe environment for volunteers, staff, and clients we welcome volunteers who:
- Have not experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) or tested positive in the past four weeks.
- Have not encountered anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past two weeks.
Volunteers are required to wear a face mask at all times while on JFS property. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own face masks, but if they do not have one, one will be provided for them. We invite a maximum of 5 volunteers to participate.
