Description

The Sandy Naimon Breakfast Club program at Jewish Family Services exists to provide peer support and socialization opportunities for those with persistent mental illness and hosts an annual picnic for participants at Veterans Park. JFS needs volunteers to support staff in all areas of the event.

Event support will include:

  • Assisting with set up and clean-up of tables, food, drinks and serving ware
  • Serving participants
  • Grilling (if comfortable)
  • Participating in games and activities and socializing with attendees

In order to provide a safe environment for volunteers, staff, and community members we welcome volunteers who:

  • Have not experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) or tested positive in the past four weeks.
  • Have not encountered anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past two weeks.

As the event will be held outside, masks are not required, but recommended for those in at-risk groups. JFS reserves the right to amend their safety policy at any point in time and updates will be communicated to volunteers as necessary.
