Do you have a passion for teaching others and supporting older adults in our community? Would you like to give back while also doing something you love? Deerwood Crossing Senior Residences needs volunteers to lead activity classes for our residents!
Deerwood Crossing is home to seniors age 55 and over who enjoy all sorts of activities and learning new things. Possible class topics include:
- Active Games
- Art
- Baking / Cooking
- Craft Making
- Discussion Groups
- Gardening / Plant Care
- Higher Education
- Music
- Or whatever you are passionate about!
Classes can be taught on your schedule and will be set up with the Activities Coordinator at Deerwood Crossing. We ask classes are held monthly. Supplies for your class will be provided by JFS Housing.
Volunteers are required to wear a face mask at all times while on the property. All JFS staff members will be wearing face masks. Residents are advised to wear face masks and practice social distancing at all times.
