Supportive and experienced individuals are needed to facilitate alcohol and drug recovery groups. Volunteers are asked to share their experience, strength and hope with community members who are new to recovery or seeking assistance to show that recovery does work.
Volunteers visit sites throughout Waukesha County (Health and Human Services, Jail, Huber, Mental Health Center, and more) with a partner to provide support for community members who have alcohol, drug dependency and other addictions. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and experiences. Annually our volunteers lead over 500 recovery groups. Each group is one hour in length and we ask volunteers to minimally assist with one group per month. Groups are currently run weekdays, weekends, and weeknights.
Interested volunteers must have personally experienced their own addiction and be active in a recovery program and must have minimum one year of sobriety. Please watch our information video or contact us today for more information!
