Overview: Volunteers would help maintain flower beds by weeding, pruning, deadheading, and spreading mulch a few times per year at Camp Alice Chester in East Troy throughout the spring, summer and fall. Shifts are flexible.
Qualifications: This position is for volunteers interested in performing general gardening activities outdoors and have some experience identifying and caring for perennials, communicating with staff and who don't mind repetitive tasks like weeding or pruning. Volunteers should be able to work in hot weather, stoop, bend and kneel and be comfortable working outdoors.
Volunteers would need become a Girl Scout member and complete a background check through GSWISE.
