Bring Care, Connection, and Critical Support to Those Who Serve Step into a role where your time and talents directly strengthen the military community. As a Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Outreach Volunteer, you’ll build meaningful connections with service members, recruits, and their families—ensuring they are informed, supported, and empowered with life-changing Red Cross resources. Through outreach, education, and relationship-building, you help bridge the gap between those who serve and the support they deserve—creating stronger, more resilient communities every day.

  • Connect with Purpose: Engage service members, recruits, and families at installations, MEPS, and Guard/Reserve events—creating meaningful, supportive interactions.
  • Share Life-Changing Resources: Lead and support briefings, presentations, and outreach tables that raise awareness of vital Red Cross services.
  • Educate & Empower: Deliver engaging presentations on programs like Emergency Services, Wellness Workshops, Military Caregiver Support, and the Military to Veteran Network.
  • Guide with Care: Help individuals navigate available resources and confidently access the support they need.
  • Build Strong Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with military leaders, community partners, and internal Red Cross teams.
  • Represent the Mission: Serve as a professional and compassionate ambassador of the Red Cross in every interaction.
  • Protect & Respect: Follow all policies while safeguarding personal and sensitive information.
  • Adapt to Make an Impact: Support evolving outreach needs to expand reach and effectiveness in your community.
