We are looking for eager volunteers to help us move a big donation of staged furniture out of the Milwaukee Athletic Club and to our trucks to be taken to one of Milwaukee's ReStores! You will mostly be helping move furniture out of the rooms, down the freight elevator, and to the truck. Our truck drivers will assist with loading items into the truck
Every volunteer hour with our deconstruction services helps Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity build more safe and affordable homes and serve more families both locally and globally.
Our Crew Leader Mark will meet you in the front lobby to show you the room, the path to the elevator, and then to the truck. We'll also make sure to have dolly's, carts etc. ready to help transport furniture.
Qualifications
Required to lift up to 20 lbs
Experience using tools is preferred but not required
Staffed largely by volunteers, Habitat’s ReStores are eco-friendly locations to both donate and shop for home building supplies and furnishings. Habitat’s ReStores carry overstocked, discounted, new and used building materials donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals. The stores are open to the public with all items sold at a fraction of the retail cost. ReStore donations benefit Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity's mission of building simple, decent and affordable homes in partnership with families in need.
