Vital Voices is an advocacy organization for people in Milwaukee County. We are the voice of our consumers – advocating for quality services to improve lives and advance recovery. The Telephone Reassurance Program is looking for volunteers to offer a friendly and familiar voice on the phone on a regular basis. Our services are offered at no charge to all seniors, 60 years or older who live alone, in Milwaukee County. Volunteers will be matched with individuals who request the service with the goal of eliminating some of the concerns facing homebound seniors who live alone, thereby reducing social isolation. Older adults are encouraged to sign-up for this volunteer opportunity. The goal of the assessment process is to implement improvements in health services by enhancing best practices for client care, treatment, and recovery.
