With the seasons and trends often changing, our clothing bank is always in need of a refresh. We are looking for a group to come on-site to help us organize the space.

Pathfinders is seeking support from community members to assemble Welcome Home Kits for youth transitioning from homelessness and housing instability into their first apartment. Moving in is an exciting step for our young people. However, without everyday items, simple tasks such as taking a shower or cooking a meal, remain a luxury. These kits equip our youth with the basic essentials we all need to function comfortably and safely in our homes.

Join the volunteer team at the Jewish Community Pantry which provides emergency food to individuals and families in crisis throughout the greater Milwaukee community. We serve our clients inside our pantry on 29th & Center Street.

Volunteer Positions: assist guests, stock shelves, manage intake, and other tasks on service days (Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings)

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR GROUP REQUESTS: Group requests (3+) need to be made at least 6 weeks in advance of requested volunteer date.  

Weighted lap pads can help calm anxiety and improve focus in children as well as provide comfort for those with sensory needs. Follow a DYI tutorial online for lap pads or lap blankets for inspiration. UCC Schools aims to encourage a love of reading and literacy among students of all ages. To do this, we need ample books available for children's home libraries as well as our classroom libraries. You can help by donating gently used books for ages 2-14.

We kindly ask that all books be in good condition and divided by age levels:

We would love some support to supply more Bruce-Guadalupe Community School students will school uniforms!

This would be a tremendous help for our students, families and staff to have on hand. Our uniforms are white polo shirts and navy-blue pants and sweaters. You can purchase these uniform items at Walmart or Target.

If you are passionate about sports and want to make a positive impact on our students, volunteer to be a coaching assistant! UCC Athletics is looking for volunteers to help with sports practice throughout the fall and spring semesters. Sports include volleyball, soccer, flag football and basketball.

Timing: Monday - Friday 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and/ or occasional Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 11: a.m. Commitment of at least 2 days a week required.

Do you sometimes receive little odds and ends that you don't want, can't use and usually throw into a closet to collect dust? Did you purchase something on clearance, but now it's sitting in a closet collecting dust? Are you or do you know a business who would be willing to donate their final clearance items to us? Or do you just have some new or gently used items you're clearing out of the house? Please consider donating those new or gently used items to us.

In December 2025 we will hold our 5th Annual Angel Shop where Early Childhood & K4-8th students can shop for family members at $1-$5 a gift for that special someone in their lives. This allows them to be part of the process and spirit of giving. Students learn financial literacy skills, learn to independently shop, and they gain a true sense of pride and accomplishment from participating. We will be collecting items year round for children, teens, adult, and older adults (even Pets!).

So please start putting those bags together with that candle you didn't want or hand soap you can't use or the extra screwdriver set you have lying around, that too small wallet, ties, men's cologne, women's perfume, the adult coloring book that was supposed to be calming, but just isn't, soccer and sports items, baseball hats, etc. Additionally, we are also accepting donations of wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, scotch tape, gift tags and bows and ribbons.

Kids go through supplies like you wouldn't believe and many of our family's struggle with the financial challenge of keeping their children fully supplied and ready to learn. If you can help provide supplies, we will make sure that every child has the supplies they need to be ready to learn. Supplies that we need include: 2 pocket folders w/ prong, Notebooks, Loose Leap Paper, Copy Ream Paper, pencils, markers, crayons, colored pencils, pink erasers, glue sticks, earbuds or headphones, index cards with lines, highlighters, dry erase markers.

We welcome groups to host 3rd party events or donation drives to help raise funds and/or collect particular items that we are in need of. Examples may include: bake sales, penny wars, gift card donation drives, toiletry items, bath towels, Christmas presents, etc.

Help support families in need by hosting a holiday focused food drive. Highest need items include sides for holiday dinners, breakfast products, pasta sauces, soup and stews. All non-perishable, non-expired food items will be accepted. 

Food Drives can be hosted at a time and location that are convenient for you. Reach out today to set up a time to receive your food drive bin and supplies. Your support will help brighten Milwaukee homes this holiday season! 

Support MCC families by donating to our diaper drive. Our Emergency Food Pantry serves many families who are in need of diapers and other infant needs supplies including wipes, bottles, baby food and more. All sizes of diapers are needed.

The Cathedral Center is a shelter for homeless women and families facing an emergency housing crisis. We are home to 32 women and 8 families for up to 90 days while they work with our case managers to achieve a personal action plan.

Volunteers help us keep things running smoothly and provide the comforts of home through our Hospitality Program!

Groups of 5-8 people sign up to provide a meal which they purchase, prepare, and deliver to our clients on a monthly or semi-monthly basis. Through this program we are able to provide a meal 365 days a year! Our Hospitality Program is great for parish groups, clubs and organizations, corporate groups, and friends and families who want to serve a home cooked meal with a friendly face.

Groups are needed 7 days a week.

St. Joseph Academy offers an Early Childhood Education Childcare program for children 6 weeks - 4 years old. The costs of childcare for both families and our organization continue to rise at an alarming rate. One of the ways that would help relieve some financial burden for our families is through provision of diapers and baby wipes. Over 60% of our families are facing significant economic stress. Providing diapers and wipes would help to eliminate some of the financial stress for families. We are in need of diapers size 1 - 5 and unscented baby wipes.  

Our Early Childhood & School programs strongly believe in the need to play outside and get fresh air. However, many of our families struggle to provide appropriate outdoor clothing during our cold winter months. 

We are seeking donations of hats, mittens, boots, snow pants and winter jackets.

Sizes needed for boots: Children's Size 3-11.

Please help support homeless youth in the community by making their new homes whole! In our Transitional & Supportive Housing Program, we are able to assist homeless young adults ages 18-24 obtain housing and work on independent living goals with self-sufficiency in mind. Many of our youth enter into the programming with little to no household items and we can only provide this critical resource through the generous support of people like you.

Select this project to organize a workplace or community supply drive to help ensure that the Transitional & Supportive Housing Program is stocked with the household items that make our homeless young adults feel at home.

This project is open to any size group. Even one dedicated volunteer can make a huge difference for us with this project!

Support Diverse & Resilient's mission to achieve health equity and improve the safety and well-being of LGBTQ people and communities in Wisconsin by hosting a supply drive for our anti-violence, community programs, or sexual health services! Various Items needed such as hygiene supplies, program / participant snacks, office supplies, etc. If you are interested in this opportunity, we will create an Amazon wishlist for you or your group. 

Volunteer to set up a recruitment event at your place of employment, church, or with your social group or club to promote volunteer opportunities with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee. Recruitment events can be hosting a Lunch & Learn or an informational table in a high volume area. By setting up a recruitment event, you will help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee connect with a larger audience to promote mentoring and reduce the number of youth waiting for a mentor. Setting up a recruitment event includes coordinating dates with our Recruitment Coordinator, promoting the event to draw an audience, and possibly helping with the event day of.

Artists Working in Education (AWE) is seeking a few people to assist us with our fall clean-up. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome. In order to prepare for winter, we will need help with window washing, pulling up weeds, and prepping our flower bed. Gloves and other cleaning supplies will be provided.
