Hold a Personal Care Item supply drive for adults and their families who are survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence. Before the cold and snow of winter set in, these adults (with or without children) who may find themselves suddenly living at a relative's home, at a hotel-type setting or now homeless, will need personal care items to keep them secure, safe, healthy and comfortable while in a transitional living situation. Having personal care items can help them to feel good about themselves and maintain their hygiene, bringing them the strength and confidence they need to rise above the trauma.
New and regular size shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, body wash, toothpaste and toothbrushes are needed to help the survivors maintain their hygiene and feel good about themselves - bringing the strength and confidence needed to rise above the trauma.
Through a unique partnership with the Sojourner Family Peace Center , Jewish Family Services (JFS) provides a full-time, licensed mental health professional to offer mental health and trauma-related counseling to adults who are survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence. This JFS service expands the scope of professional mental health and counseling services available to low-income Sojourner Family Peace Center clients.
Please help to make the survivors happy and healthy this winter by conducting a Personal Care Item supply drive before 2017
