Join Independence First to support seniors in our community through the Food Distribution Program with Hunger Task Force! Volunteers will load food items or boxes of food into seniors' cars in an outdoor drive-through on Friday, September 13 from 10-11am. This event is a quick and easy way to help provide fresh, healthy, and shelf-stable food to seniors in the Milwaukee Area. If you sign up as a group, you may stay after the event for an optional, private tour of Independence First to learn about universal design and our programs and services.
Independence First is a nonprofit and Independent Living Center dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently in the community. We are a scent-free facility for the safety and comfort of those with chemical sensitivities. We ask that guests refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, and other scented products at agency-sponsored events.
