We are seeking energetic individuals and groups to help open our Cream City Gardens on Saturday, April 30th. This urban garden provides organic food to the Guest House, Friedens Community Ministries, and our urban neighbors, as well as job training to formerly homeless individuals in the urban farming and the green industry.
Volunteers on this day will help prepare the garden beds, plant seeds in the beds, and do a neighborhood clean-up of the area to make sure our gardens are ready for harvest.
A green thumb is not required! Only an interest or passion for urban gardening and the betterment of the Milwaukee urban community!
Requirements: Wear your gardening clothes and feel free to bring your favorite gardening tools.
