The raised bed gardens at JFS Housing, Inc. in Brown Deer are ready to be planted! Please join us on Friday, June 17th, 9:30AM – Noon to plant tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, red peppers, herbs and gerbera daisies that residents at Deerwood Crossing Senior Residences , Bradley Crossing Supportive Housing Community and Weinberg Residences will be able to enjoy through the summer and fall.
Volunteers will help prep the soil, plant and water garden beds. Please bring your gardening gloves and any garden tools you enjoy using. Water bottles will be provided and we hope to see you rain or shine on the 17th.
Please help the low-income residents supplement their food supplies with bountiful gardens this summer. To volunteer, contact Susie Gruenberg, Manager of Volunteer Services at Jewish Family Services: 414-225-1390 or sgruenberg@jfsmilw.org.
