Camp Odayin is the premier camp in the Midwest specifically for children with heart disease. Our mission is based on a holistic approach to healing hearts, a desire to nurture and develop independence, confidence, and acceptance throughout our camper’s lives, and a desire to have fun and celebrate life! We are seeking cabin counselors and nurses for our Residential Camp in Elkhorn, WI -Monday, July 30 to Friday, August 3 (grades 1-11).
Our medically-supervised camp experiences only cost $25 for campers, thanks in part to the generous counselors, nurses and physicians who volunteer their time. We would not exist without the huge hearts of people like you!
During five days of overnight camp, counselors and nurses participate in activities with the children, encourage growth and serve as positive role models. Each cabin of 6-8 kids is supported by two camp counselors and a cabin nurse. Counselors live in a cabin with campers and provide supervision throughout the day and night. Nurses provide campers with medical support and administer medications.
A training session on Sunday, July 30 and a commitment for the full five day camp session is required of all volunteers. Email alison@campodayin.org or call 651.351.9185 for more information.
Will you join us as a camp counselor or nurse this summer? The staff application for our programs is now available and we invite you to apply by June 1st
