Description

Volunteers are the HEART of Heartland Hospice! Do you enjoy making crafts? Do you want to volunteer from the comfort of your own home? Turn your hobby into healing by becoming a craft volunteer for hospice! Heartland Hospice needs more talented craft volunteers to donate items that will bring comfort to patients facing life-limiting illnesses. We are specifically in great need of brand new bed sheets (full size, extra long or with deep pockets), or slippers/booties with non-slip bottoms, comfort bears as pictured above, fleece or crocheted blankets and "fidget" blankets, pillows and handmuffs that can bring great benefit to our Alzheimer's and dementia patients. For more information about fidget tools, visit here: https://www.pinterest.com/sbonham4486/fidget-blankets/.

Items can be dropped off at the Heartland Hospice office, Monday-Friday, from 8AM-5PM. This is your chance to make a BIG difference without even leaving your doorstep! Please contact us if you're interested in donating handmade gifts of comfort to our hospice patients. We're waiting to hear from you!
