Milwaukee Public Schools is excited to showcase the artistic talents of over 6,000 students at the 2018 All City Arts Festival on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. Students in elementary, middle and high school will showcase a variety of art forms including music, dance, art, and theater. Corporate groups and community members are encouraged to coordinate a team of volunteers to assist in making this event a success. Please see the list below of the opportunities volunteers can assist with during the festival. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Bus Assistants- Volunteers will identify and assign arriving schools with a school liaison. Volunteers will also direct bus parking.
School Liaisons- Volunteers will be assigned to a school group for the entire festival. School liaisons will lead and monitor their school group through (3) aspects of the festival: performance, audience participation and art activity engagement.
Warm Up/Homeroom Assistants- Volunteers will assist student groups with performance preparation and monitor student belongings.
Stage Monitors- Volunteers will assist school groups with entering and exiting the stage for their performances.
Audience Controllers- Volunteers will assist student groups, parents and community partners with seating for the festival performances.
Art Activity Assistants- Volunteers will be assigned to a student art activity facilitated by an arts community partner. Volunteers will provide assistance to the facilitator to ensure students are engaged and have the supplies they need to participate in the activity.
