Event Description:
Join us for a morning of service learning! We’ll read a short story about nature and learn about the purpose of Earth Day. Families will engage in hands on projects that will introduce seed planting, composting with Compost Crusaders, and recycling. After, families are encouraged to participate in a short neighborhood clean up!
Stay for lunch provided by Milwaukee Parkside’s Agriculture Program and enjoy free play in our Children’s Room. This event is toddler and small child friendly.
Volunteer Needs:
-General assistance with greeting, checking in, and keeping the event running smoothly.
-Activity station captains to facilitate hands-on learning and/or art stations.
A great opportunity for students who may still be on Spring Break!
