Event Overview: Celebrating G.I.R.L.S presented by Herzing University is an event that highlights G.I.R.L.s (Growing Inspirational Responsible Leaders) programming with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. It’s a chance for our guests to interact with a group of our female Club members. The event features 5 exhibits showcasing different program areas and this year we will 5 short presentations on stage with our girl Club members! Guests will have the opportunity to hear directly about the key benefits and impact of the G.I.R.L.S program.
Volunteer Needs: To help make this event successful, we are seeking 30 volunteers to help with a variety or roles. All roles will start at 4:30 pm and end at 7:45 pm.
Roles include:
- Front End Greeters - Volunteers will greet all guests with warm, smiling welcome. Volunteers will open doors for guests and direct them to the Registration & Check-In table.
- Coat Check – Volunteers will help guests check in and out jackets and other personal items.
- Registration - Volunteers will greet guests, pass out programs, nametags and lanyards to guests. Volunteers will then direct guests to the coat check area. Guests not on the list will be directed to the Help Desk. Guests will be encouraged to mingle with girls at the exhibits and enjoy the program which starts promptly at 6:30pm.
- Event Greeters – Volunteers will be present inside the grand ballroom to help guests get oriented to the activities and timeline for the evening. Volunteers will be given an overview of the 5 exhibits to discuss with guests. Additional help will be needed after the program.
