Food Pantry Assistant Shopper
The Waukesha Salvation Army is looking for long term volunteers to help in our Food Pantry.
Commit to volunteering with the program at least once a week for a minimum of 4 hours each week.
Pantry Hours are TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 12:45PM-4PM FRIDAYS 8:45AM-12PM
- Assist participants utilizing the food pantry.
- Keep food pantry clean, organized, and tidy.
- Record and enter data from clients accessing the food pantry.
- Work well with staff and volunteers.
- Willing to work with people from a range of cultural backgrounds in a friendly, non-judgmental manner.
- Must be comfortable interacting with people who may have limited English.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must keep client information private and confidential.
- Prepackage groceries as needed.
- Must wear a mask at all times while volunteering.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
- Need to be able to be on your feet for the entire shift 4 hours.
