Join the City of Waukesha's Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department to build a playground at Priedeman Park! If you or your group would like to volunteer all day, please sign up for both the morning and afternoon shifts. Come alone, with your neighbors or with a group and help to assemble, place, and complete one of Waukesha's newest playgrounds.

**Committment to Safety: The City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department has implemented many changes to park operations, programming and services in response to COVID-19. Volunteer opportunities will be modified following state and local guidelines and may be canceled due to the COVID-19 situation at the time of the community build. If that is the case, PRF staff will still proceed with building the playground. Volunteers, while outdoors, who are not able to maintain at least 6' of social distancing from other volunteers, staff or community members are required to bring and wear facemasks. Volunteers are required to wear a facemask when checking in under the picnic shelter or other enclosed areas in the park. Volunteers will be provided nitrile gloves & hand sanitizer. Any tools or equipment that are shared will be sanitized between uses.
Items to bring to the community build:
- Tools (pliers, vice grips, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Sunscreen, bug spray
- Water bottle
- Closed toed shoes
- Work gloves
Volunteers must fill out the "One Day Event" Volunteer Application (attached to this sign up). If you sign up to be a Lead Volunteer or a Photographer, please fill out the Lead Volunteer Registration form and return to us more than 2 weeks prior to the build to allow for application processing and background checks. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old, minors need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times during the build.
Rain dates for Community Builds are Thursday, May 13th and/or Friday, May 14th.
