Come assist with the various task needed to ensure a successful growing season for our Cream City Garden. It's a great opportunity to learn about urban agriculture and be active in the community.
Opportunity Tasks/Project: Weed, plant, water, and clean up our garden.
Date of Volunteer Opportunity: Saturday, April 23rd
Days/Times Requested: 9:30 - 12:30pm
Length of Commitment: 1-3 hours
Items Needed: Bring garden/work gloves and dress appropriately for gardening.
Impact of Opportunity: Guest House is located in a food desert with limited fresh food options. Many residents of the King Park neighborhood, where Guest House is located, have limited access to fresh produce. The Cream City Garden provides fresh produce to our shelter guests and neighborhood residents as they are encouraged to take produce as needed.
